Join MOVE Charity for an epic one-day adventure on Saturday 16th September walking the three highest peaks of the Yorkshire Dales within 12 hours.
Your 24-mile trek will see you ascend Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) in a circular route starting and finishing in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Along the way you will take in some stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales and feel a huge sense of achievement at the end.
Entry into the Three Peaks is £74 and can be booked HERE through Lost Earth Adventures, who will be guiding us on the day of the trek.
We are asking all participants to raise a minimum of £200 for MOVE Charity, which will go directly into supporting and inspiring people to Move Against Cancer. If you hit £300+ fundraising, you will get a FREE MOVE T-shirt to wear on the day of the trek.
The easiest way to fundraise is by setting up a JustGiving page using this link HERE.
We are delighted to announce that the brilliant Louise Minchin will be joining us for this challenge, Louise says: “I want to take on this challenge for MOVE because their mission means a lot to me and they provide vital support to those wanting to keep physically active despite having a cancer diagnosis. My husband was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in his 20s, so we both know the importance of movement and exercise for those living with and beyond cancer. Lucy Gossage, who co-founded the 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer initiative, is also a dear friend of mine, and I think the work that she and the rest of the team at MOVE does is incredible. I look forward to trekking alongside you all in September!”
Friday Night Q&A with Louise Minchin and Lucy Gossage
Not only will Louise be trekking with us, but we will be hosting an intimate Q&A session with her and the 14 time Ironman Champion, Lucy Gossage, on the Friday night before the challenge at the Dalesbridge campsite which is situated just a 15 minute drive from the start of the first peak. Upon arrival at the Dalesbridge on Friday 15th September, there will be an option to buy burgers, just what is needed the night before a big trek, and a chance to mingle with others taking part in the challenge. Once everyone has eaten we will then head into the conference room for an intimate Q&A session with Louise and Lucy, which will include tea and coffee as well as a garden area to continue chatting.
